So I have been a nurse for the last couple of days. I gave my mother the flu. We have both pledged to never go another flu season without getting the shot! I have also come to the conclusion that I love my mother more than life, but I am not a good nurse. I lay awake at night waiting to hear her say "K-K". Every 4 hours- I have set the alarm on my cell phone to alert me of the time- I give out the Tylenol or Advil dose. I give her a fresh washcloth, cover her up and change out her water/gatorade/Diet Coke of the moment and pray she will pass back out. Tomorrow we go to the Minor Med. She needs a high dose antibiotic! The germs are flying and I'm praying that I don't get sick again. I already missed 6 days of work. The flu must be eradicated!!! Kill the flu germs! Save the world!Sunday, February 25, 2007

Of course, you know, if it's actually the FLU, it's a virus, and antibiotics won't help. They'll just make her resistant when she needs antibiotics.
And here ends my channeling my sister.
